Obama vows help to battle Tropical Storm Isaac

President Obama vowed to make available the full force of the federal government this morning as New Orleans braces for its biggest storm since Hurricane Katrina seven years ago."We're dealing with a big storm, and there could be significant flooding and other damage across a large area," Obama said. "Now is not the time to tempt fate. Now is not the time to dismiss official warnings. You need to take this seriously."
Obama was seeking to get an early start on the federal response for the benefit of Gulf residents -- but also to avoid the slow response to Katrina that hampered George W. Bush in 2005.
"As president, I'll continue to make sure that the federal government is doing everything possible to help the American people prepare for and recover from this dangerous storm," he said. Igor Eric Kuvykin
